The Ballon Races

So Lauren and I met up with Sam and Isabel in Natchez to enjoy one of Mississippi top things to do, the Balloon Race. We the day started off great. Lunch with Grandmother at the Carriage House and then a little history tour of downtown. Then we decided it was time to see some balloons. Sam, Isabel, Lauren and I take the 8 block walk to downtown. We pay our 15 dollars each and go in the gates. There is a band playing and we should be seeing balloons soon. We buy our 8 dollar shirts. (tip: never buy the one for the year you are there always get last years, so much cheaper) We get something to drink and take in the view of the river. Then the bottom drops out and here comes the rain. Good-bye balloons, good-bye 15 dollars. We stilll had a good time. Sam and Isabel stuck it out and Lauren and I left for home. We had lots of laughs and some really wet clothes by the time it was over. Maybe next year. Posted by Picasa
