Green Gradoo

Well yesterday I had the opportunity to find out just what there is to do in Jackson on a rainy day. In the past my friends and I have usually been able to entertain ourselves just fine. But yesterday was a real test. Juls and I were going to run some errands but them amazing that got cancelled. Now we faced the dilemma of what to do today??? We went and picked up her husband, Edwin, the next was fat free, sugar free yogurt from We Love Yogurt. Side note, we are not wholly convinced that it is sugar and fat free...think back to the Seinfeld episode. Then we decided to go bowling. A bit of moving around would be good thing. Little did we know that bowling in Jackson in the middle of the day is 1. insanely expensive ($25 and hour) 2. incredibly popular (it would be over a 1 hour wait). We just are not that dedicated to the game. So our journey continued to find something fun to do in Jackson. Amazingly enough we were not in the movie mood. Ice skating at the park was mentioned, so was adopting a kitten for the day then returning it later. Neither of those came to fruition. Edwin kept saying that there is really nothing to do except go eat. That is why so many jacksonians are a little fuller. My roommate happens to have a good ole playstation so it was decided to go find some games. This was a strange little escapade. We left the store with 5 games all for around $20 and the store got a newly organized bin. We spent about the next hour figuring out how in the world to play some of the games we got.

Fast Forward to dinner because this was hilarious. Juls wanted Outback but there was wait. So we drove what seemed like hours in hungry time. Finally Edwin settled on a new spot, Kathryn's on Old Canton. When we walked in there were about 5 old couples there. We looked at a menu and found the dishes to top all dishes, green gradoo. We just had to try this. There were several types of gradoo, green gradoo, gradoo bites and to-doo. Just say those out loud. You can't help but laugh. I could barely order b/c I was laughing so much. Gradoo is spinach, onions, bacon and cheese mixed and melted together. It is yummy. To-doo is all of that placed in a broiled tomato. The 3 of us had a fantastic time with the gradoo and steaks that we ordered. We will definitely eat there again. The day was crazy.
